Left out Silence

Writer's picture: Jessy Jessy

My mind is made of words

Each word is scattered and out of control

Each word trying to find its place

Trying to make a cohesive sentence

But always seemingly failing

I try to find a distraction from this mind

Eating pretty candy to quiet the hustle

Listening to the words of someone else

to forget the ones in my mind

Drinking ambrosia, walking in a haze

Sinking in the River of dead

Running from my very own mind

But all are just temporary

Until her...., she made sense of my nonsense

She seemed like a god

Blessed with the beauty of Aphrodite

wit like Artemis, heart like Persephone

Like a dove, she would sing for Apollo

All I could do was worship her

On my knees, praying she o leave

Praying she stayed just for one more kiss

But I could only stand as I watched her go

Now my mind has words again

And they are left for her in silence
